January Events in The South Bay

Whether your New Year’s Resolution is to find the time to exercise, donate more frequently, or eat healthier - Our South Bay event calendar has you covered! We’ve lined up some of the most notable local events for you and your family to enjoy throughout the month of January. Happy 2023!

Farmers markets host the best array of fresh, organic foods and offer a wonderful opportunity to go outside and get your steps in!  Bring along a family member, friend, or fur baby. There’s something for everyone at any of the local South Bay Farmers Markets!  

Manhattan Beach Farmers Market
When: Tuesdays 11:00am - 3:00pm
Where: 13th Street & Morningside Drive, Behind The Metlox 

Redondo Beach Farmers Market 
When: Thursdays 8:00am - 1:00pm  
Where: Veterans Park - 309 Esplanade, Redondo Beach, CA 90277 

Hermosa Beach Farmers Market 
When: Fridays 12:00pm - 4:00pm
Where: 1035 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254

Special Farmers Market: Cedars-Sinai Blood Drive 
The Cedars-Sinai Mobile Blood Bank will be making a special appearance on January 10th at the Manhattan Beach Farmers Market. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred. Make an appointment here (Group Code: MBFM). If you are interested in donating, please make sure you read the guidelines below. 
- Bring photo ID 
- Be in good health 
- Weigh at least 110 pounds 
- Eat a good meal 
- Drink tons of water 
- Be at least 17 years old 
** A 16-year-old may donate with a signed parental consent form

Southern California Slack Key Festival
When: January 15th at 2:00pm 
Where: Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center - 1935 Manhattan Beach Blvd, Redondo Beach, CA 90278

For the 16th year in a row, the islands of Hawaii cruise across the Pacific Ocean to Redondo Beach for Hawaii’s biggest music event on the mainland! Bring the whole Ohana and sway like the palm trees to the rhythms of world-class Hawaiian artists like George Kuo, Makaha Sons, and Sonny Lim (just to name a few). Winter Sidewalk Sale - Manhattan Beach 
When: January 27th - 29th
Where: Downtown Manhattan Beach 

It’s one of our favorite weekends in the South Bay! The Manhattan Beach Seasonal Sidewalk sale is happening the last weekend in January. Take a leisurely stroll along Manhattan Beach Blvd and shop bargain deals at participating boutiques. 

Our Californian winter is in full force so grab your favorite pair of rain boots and a cozy sweater! We’ll see you around The South Bay.
