Redondo Beach Restaurant Roundup

With powerhouses like Manhattan and Hermosa Beach to its north, you’d expect Redondo to lose a little luster when it comes to dining. Not the case. 

For Mexican food lovers, Redondo is paraíso. Riviera Mexican is a local favorite, offering huge portions and margaritas. The new Tigres Fuego by the Baran’s 2239 family makes elevated tacos with homemade marinades and tortillas. Ortega 120 and Hudson House both have incredible Taco Tuesday deals. Each place offers a little something different and excellent food. 

For the health-conscious vegans, Green Temple and Pura Vita are fun options that don’t sacrifice flavor for dietary restrictions. Green Temple is a lush oasis with a secret sauce that makes everything tasty. Pura Vita boasts some of the best pizza in LA, and you’d swear their carbonara pasta is made with real cream. Their dessert list is out of this world. 

The Redondo Pier is an iconic tourist spot with fun bars and restaurants throughout. Tony’s on the Pier is legendary for its views and Mai Tais. Chart House, El Torito, and Bluewater Grill are all swanky, high-end places with unrivaled views of the marina. Redondo’s Riviera is riddled with local staples and delicious eateries that more than stand up to the hype. Rockefeller, Hook & Plow, and Good Stuff have sister restaurants in the surrounding cities. 

Redondo is unpretentious and hyper-local. Some of the best places are decades-old holes in the wall. Eat at Joe’s, a small diner on PCH, is always teeming with Redondo residents. Naja’s is a little dive bar with some of the best draft selections in town, while Select Beer is a small tap room with the best take-home options. 

If the restaurant options weren’t enough, Redondo also boasts divine coffee. Be sure to check out HiFi Espresso and The Boy and the Bear for interesting craft lattes and espresso. For incredible study/work vibes, Coffee Cartel in the Riviera is a must.
